Year 4, Session 5, Week 6
We hope everyone had a great Mardi Gras break! Our heroes have 3 days left to prepare for exhibition so they are giving that their full focus. We look forward to seeing parents and guests of the Elementary Studio learners on Monday for the Newton’s Toy Workshop exhibition!
During Writer’s Workshop the Elementary Studio finished their illustrations and finishing touches on their science fiction stories. These stories are highly entertaining and will be read for guests attending exhibition.
Our heroes worked hard on gaining points in core skills and finishing up badges. Special shout out to Harper who earned her L3 - Reading badge and Charlie who earned his L4 - Learning to Problem Solve and Make Peace!
The learners completed several “mock exhibitions” where they ran through their exhibition schedule to test the timing. They also practiced their speeches and presentations for staff members. The mock exhibitions help them feel prepared and ensure the real thing goes as smoothly as possible.
The Little Heroes were very excited to start a formal yoga time this week! They brought their own mats and followed along to a fun yoga video made for children. This has been a great way to get them active and give their brains a break during the day!
We wrapped up the week with a “Fun Friday” popsicle party!
