Year 6 Session 2 Week 2
A Heroic Week of Learning and Creativity!
Last week was filled with excitement, inspiration, and hands-on learning at school! One of the highlights was a special visit from Mr. Molley, our guest hero. He shared his incredible Hero’s Journey — from humble beginnings to becoming a successful entrepreneur. Mr. Molley inspired learners by telling the story of how he built his martial arts school, private school, and after school and summer camp programs. His message of perseverance, vision, and hard work reminded us all that anyone can be a hero with purpose and passion.

In art, learners looked inward as they explored self-expression through self-portraits. Using mirrors, they observed fine details and drew themselves with care and creativity. It was a beautiful opportunity to reflect on identity and individuality.
Meanwhile, during DEAR time — Drop Everything And Read — the Little Heroes practiced their reading skills by reading aloud to each other. The joy of sharing stories and building literacy in community was truly heartwarming!

In Writer’s Workshop, our ES learners dove into poetry, writing odes that celebrate people, places, and things they love. From cherished pets to favorite snacks, their words painted vivid pictures full of emotion and admiration.

On the entrepreneurial front, the ES Heroes explored key concepts like competition, advertising, and pricing. Through interactive scenarios and discussions, they gained a deeper understanding of how these elements impact business success. It was amazing to see them think critically and creatively like real-world problem solvers!

From art and reading to entrepreneurship and storytelling, last week was a powerful blend of learning, growth, and inspiration. Here's to more heroic adventures ahead!
