The first week of school is always full of excitement, energy, and a little bit of nervous anticipation. Our goal was to start the year by helping learners feel comfortable, build relationships, and ease into routines that will set us up for a successful year—and what a great week it was!
Our learners worked hard this week preparing projects for display at the last exhibition of the year. The Little Heroes are working on their interpretation of the Hero’s Journey while the ES heroes are creating stories, models, and sculptures!
Our Growing Curiosity quest is off to a great start! The ES heroes are having so much fun learning new skills and being creative. We can’t wait to see what they do next!
It’s hard to believe we have reached the last session of the school year! The learners have built their tribe, and worked hard for six sessions, and now they get to pursue their interests through our Growing Curiosity quest. We also introduce foreign languages in session 7 through duolingo!
We wrapped up session six with a great exhibition from the Elementary Studio! The learners had a blast during the detective science quest and are looking forward to exploring their passions in session seven!
We started the week off celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and ended it with a great Fun Friday! Our heroes were in flow all week leveling up and crushing their goals!!
This week was a whirlwind of experiences and real life learning. On Thursday, we had a cubby clean out and one learner realized they had forgotten a tupperware container in there for quite some time! Mrs. Tanksley took a sample of the mold that was growing on the old food and placed it under a microscope so all of the heroes could see what it looked like up close.
