Wrapping Up Session One

Year 6 Session 1 Week 5

Wrapping Up Session 1: A Week to Remember!

The final week of Session 1 was packed with energy, excitement, and celebration as our elementary school heroes prepared to showcase all they’ve learned and created. The week culminated in an incredible Exhibition of Work, where learners proudly displayed their art projects, from vibrant drawings to imaginative trinket boxes. The studio was buzzing with creativity and accomplishment.

Families joined in the fun with engaging team-building games like “Human Tic Tac Toe” and the ever-entertaining “Apple Orange Mango,” sparking laughter and friendly competition. Our heroes also took the stage to read their persuasive speeches—each one a powerful display of voice, passion, and growing confidence.

One of the highlights was the cultural performance of a Samoan song and dance, presented with heart and rhythm by the Little Heroes. It was a beautiful moment of cultural appreciation and collaboration.

The much-anticipated reveal of the “Golden” lip dub video brought cheers and smiles as learners saw their hard work come to life in a joyful celebration of music and unity on the big screen.

This week also included valuable moments of reflection. ES Heroes completed 360 feedback surveys, offering thoughtful praise and constructive feedback to their peers. These insights will help shape each learner’s “freedom level” in Session 2, empowering them to grow both independently and as part of the community.

We were honored to host guest hero Dewayne Wells, owner of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice in Gonzales. He shared his journey as an entrepreneur—from humble beginnings to business success—and offered inspiring advice for our learners as they look ahead to the Business Quest in the next session.

Session 1 ended not just with applause and celebration, but with a sense of purpose and momentum. Our heroes are ready for what’s next—and we can’t wait to see what they’ll do!
