Year 3 Session 7, Week 5

In morning circle, ES/MS discussed gratitude and ways you can show you are appreciative. Eagles came up with the idea of a “Gratitude Corner” where they can write down things they are thankful for throughout the day for everyone to see. The leader of the day reads out all of the comments during closing circle. We also focused on having a growth mindset and helping others when we see them in a fixed mindset. It can get tough the closer you get towards the finish line. Encourage your eagle to finish out the school year strong!

LE Studio Update

Little Eagles learned martial arts during quest time this week! One day the martial arts class was even led by an MS eagle. They have also been preparing for their end of the year exhibition. We are excited for parents to see what they have put together! LEs have been taking pride in keeping their classroom clean through studio maintenance. They wrapped up their week by watching “Finding Nemo” during Fun Friday free time.

ES/MS Studio Update

Quest time this week was dedicated to independent passion projects. The eagles have each chosen a project of their interest to present at exhibition in addition to the Growing Curiosity quest. We had discussions on pursuing passions with grit and perseverance. During “Scholar’s Choice” we played Jeopardy again as a fun way to practice core skills. The eagles began taking turns leading different parts of PE this week! The goal is that, by some point next year, eagles can take turns leading “world class examples” of PE all on their own. Everyone is getting antsy as the end of the school year draws closer. ES/MS are trying to meet their badge goals and are excited about all of their summer break plans.
