Year 6 Session 2 Week 3
Last week at school was packed with exciting hands-on activities, creative projects, and fun learning experiences!

To kick things off, Mrs. Molley brought in a real fish and a stingray for learners to explore during sensory time. Learners had the chance to see, touch, and even smell the creatures, making science come alive in the most unforgettable way!

During Quest, we dove into the world of business. Learners played Business Jeopardy, answering challenging questions about profit, loss, pricing, and competition. Everyone showed off their growing knowledge and teamwork. We also tackled the French Fry Challenge, where learners did the math to figure out just how much profit McDonald's makes from a small fry. Spoiler alert: it’s a lot more than you'd think!

In Art, each learner received their very own sketchbook to use throughout the year. They got creative customizing the covers using stencils, markers, and all kinds of craft materials. The results were colorful, unique, and full of personality—just like our learners!

Cooking class brought us back to the fish theme. Mrs. Molley guided learners through grilling fish, giving them a delicious hands-on experience in preparing healthy food. It smelled amazing and gave everyone a new appreciation for seafood.

Finally, we wrapped up the week with Fun Friday. Everett brought in his awesome RC car, and the group had a blast playing with it outside during free time. It was the perfect way to end a busy, joyful week.

We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
