Session 2 Week 5 and Session 3 Week 1, Year 6
The last two weeks at school have been packed with excitement, creativity, and hands-on learning! We enjoyed a few well-deserved days off for Fall Break, giving everyone time to rest and recharge before diving into new adventures.

After the break, our learners wrapped up their Business Quest with lots of enthusiasm and hard work. They learned about assembly lines and then got real life practice by making sandwiches! The ES heroes tried different orders and systems within their sandwich assembly lines to determine which was most efficient. Afterwards, we took a trip, and donated the sandwiches to The Arc of East Ascension. Throughout the rest of the week, they continued refining their business ideas, practicing their sales pitches, and preparing to share them with the community. We’re now counting down the days until the Children’s Business Fair on November 8th at Lamar Dixon, where our young entrepreneurs will showcase their creativity and hard work.

This week, we launched our Entomology Quest, where heroes are exploring the fascinating world of bugs! Learners are becoming scientists—observing insects, studying their body structures, and learning about scientific classification. It’s been amazing to see their curiosity and teamwork in action as they discover how diverse and important bugs are to our world.

In PE, everyone enjoyed time outdoors with perfect fall weather. We played basketball, soccer, jumped rope, and danced—lots of smiles, laughter, and energy filled the playground!

During Writer’s Workshop, learners began crafting their Persuasive Speeches. Their mission: to convince their families to follow through with an idea they’re passionate about! We can’t wait to hear their creative arguments and heartfelt presentations.

Finally, in Cooking, Mrs. Molley led a sweet and spooky activity—making Oreo spiders and chocobananos! The treats were delicious and perfectly festive for fall.

It’s been an incredible couple of weeks full of discovery, creativity, and joy. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter of our learning journey brings!
