It was a fun-filled four day week with many memories made. We are excited to wrap up the session next week, and for parents to see all the awesome things our heroes have been working on at exhibition!
We worked hard and got our hands dirty this week! The weather has been awesome and the heroes were able to finish setting up their gardens. Now to maintain them and hopefully harvest some fruits, vegetables and herbs later on!
This week we explored women heroes and finally got to start building our garden! It is crazy to think we have made it to the half-way point of the session already. The learners are excited to see what has grown in their garden by the day of exhibition.
Week 2 of Session 6 has been all about growing our focus along with our plants! We have been learning so much about plants this week and getting our hands dirty. Both studios also participated in a challenge to earn points based on their focus during core skills.
We wrapped up Session 5 on Monday with our Newton’s Toy Workshop exhibition and began Session 6. This session our quest is to build a community garden! We are starting by learning what happens inside the plant cells and what plants need to grow.
We hope everyone had a great Mardi Gras break! Our heroes have 3 days left to prepare for exhibition so they are giving that their full focus. We look forward to seeing parents and guests of the Elementary Studio learners on Monday for the Newton’s Toy Workshop exhibition!Â
The end of the session is rapidly approaching, and our learners are working hard on wrapping up everything they need to submit their badges. We are also coming to the end of our Civilization book for the year. The heroes are excited to see what new learning opportunities await them in session 6!
We can’t believe it is already February! Session 5 is flying by and our heroes are on a journey to slay the “physics” dragon. It has been a week full of hands-on learning through constructing machines and testing them out.
